Duterte issued the recall order on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021 just three days after Malacañang announced the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases had further eased age-based stay-at-home restrictions. The IATF Jan. 21 resolution would allow individuals from 10 to 65 years old to step out of their homes in MGCQ areas beginning Feb. 1 in a bid to boost consumer spending and spur the economy. At present, only those who are 15 to 65 years old may go out. The rest, as well as those who are immunocompromised and pregnant, should stay home.
