Long Island CEOS say the region’s economy is worse now than it was prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
And while one-third said they would emerge stronger post-pandemic, nearly a quarter said their companies may not survive.
That’s according to newly released survey from the Siena College Research Institute on behalf of the Long Island Association.
“This survey should serve as a red flag to state legislators that any efforts to raise state income taxes will slow down the post-COVID recovery of our economy and chase individuals and businesses out of state,” Kevin Law, CEO and president of the Long Island Association, said in a statement. “Now more than ever, we need to help businesses survive and reopen and not place any more burden
