RSK acquires UK wind rope access outfit

Engineering outfit RSK Group has expanded its specialist access services with the acquisition of wind turbine rope-access company CAS Ltd. Cumbria-based CAS Access will join fellow RSK subsidiary CAN Renewables, which provides installation, inspection, repair and maintenance services for wind the and renewable energy sectors. CAS provides a range of specialist access services for wind turbine inspection and repair. As well as offering comprehensive turbine maintenance services, including cleaning and tower paint, ladder and access system repairs, CAS also repairs busbar energy transfer systems in Senvion turbines, expanding RSK’s engineering services. CAS has recently worked on exchanging busbars and cleaning and repairing towers at numerous sites throughout the UK for clients including Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and RWE.
