Produced by Lightbox and directed by BAFTA nominee John Dower, Sophie: A Murder in West Cork will examine one of Ireland’s most high-profile murder investigations. The documentary will detail the murder of the French documentary producer in 1996, examining the circumstances and long-running investigation that ensued. It will also feature contributions from Sophie’s family, Schull residents, and local press. Last year, Netflix also confirmed the documentary would include the testimony of Ian Bailey, the man who was at the centre of the investigation.

Produced by Lightbox and directed by BAFTA nominee John Dower, the documentary is set to air on the streaming platform from June 30th.
