Wichita man arrested for a recent series of burglaries
Police have arrested a 42-year-old Wichita man for a recent series of burglaries at local businesses.
The man was arrested Friday in the 3400 block of East Orchard. He was booked into jail on 59 charges: 19 counts of burglary, two counts of aggravated burglary, ten counts of attempted burglary, 13 counts of theft, 13 counts of criminal damage to property, one count of criminal possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Police said there have been a number of burglaries over the past couple of weeks targeting businesses in Wichita and the surrounding area. Credit cards, cash, personal information, tools and electronics were taken in the burglaries.

Mar. 8 Authorities say they have arrested a 38-year-old Oklahoma man in connection with a Wichita case where a woman was raped by an intruder after answering a knock at her front door last week.
Antonio Rozell Riley was arrested on suspicion of several crimes including rape, criminal sodomy, kidnapping, aggravated burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia, Wichita police Lt. Christian Cory said during a Monday news briefing. Riley was also jailed for an active warrant. He was booked into the Sedgwick County Detention Facility at around 1:22 a.m. on Monday morning, online inmate records show. He is being held in lieu of bonds totaling $202,500.

Mar. 1 Police say two squatters, a 46-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, have been jailed in connection with a case where three Wichita officers were wounded by a shotgun blast at a south-side home that was supposed to be vacant.
James Alden Hathorn and Tiffany Lynn Vulgamore were arrested Sunday morning at the home in the 1400 block of South St. Francis where the officers were injured the previous afternoon. Wichita police detectives checking the home caught the pair as they were trying to enter it, the police said in a Monday afternoon news release.
