May 23 2021 UPDATE: Police ask for public help after an adult male was found in the street in Northeast Portland . Police have now said there are suspicious circumstances in a suspected hit-and-run fatality early Sunday in Northeast Portland. The name of the victim was not immediately released. According to police, at 6:30 a.m. May 23, North Precinct officers responded to the 14300 block of Northeast Milton Street and found an adult male dead in the street. The Portland Police Major Crash Team responded to conduct the investigation. Later Sunday, police said, The investigation into the death in the Argay Terrace Neighborhood has revealed some suspicious circumstances, and Portland Police Bureau detectives have responded to work with the Major Crash Team. Investigators are requesting help from the public to learn more about what happened.

Victim in fatal March stabbing identified; suspect arrested after robbery with homemade whip, Portland police say Updated 5:14 PM; Facebook Share Portland police have identified the man fatally stabbed downtown in late March and arrested another man on suspicion of killing him. William Aho, 37, was arrested Friday after Portland police said he robbed someone near the west ramp to the Morrison Bridge using a homemade whip the evening before. He was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center, records show. Robbery detectives later connected Aho to the fatal stabbing of 40-year-old Jay Hahn, who died shortly after midnight March 31. The robbery and fatal stabbing took place within five blocks of each other, according to police.

Facebook Share Jemare Lowell Manns, 21, died of a gunshot wound, the Multnomah County Medical Examiner determined. Officers responded to reports of gunfire at a house in the 8500 block of Southeast Harney Street just before 1 a.m. Sunday, police said in a statement. Officers found a large crowd and “a chaotic scene, with what appeared to be a house party underway,” according to police. Manns was found unconscious, and though Portland Fire & Rescue and American Medical Response paramedics responded and attempted life-saving measures, he died at the scene, according to police.

Updated: 1:41 PM PDT May 10, 2021 A 21-year-old man died after shots were fired at a house party in the Lents neighborhood early Sunday morning. At 12:57 a.m., Portland Police officers responded to a report of gunshots at a house in the 8500 block of Southeast Harney Street.  Officers responding to the scene found a large crowd attending a house party, the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) said. Clackamas County Sheriff s Office deputies responded to assist with the crowd. PPB on Monday identified the victim as 21-year-old Jemare Lowell Manns. The medical examiner determined Manns died in a homicide by gun shot. Credit: PPB
