Governor Jay Inslee said Thursday families may be able to visit loved ones inside nursing homes soon.
“In the fairly near future we will be able to open up new ability for us to enjoy our loved ones in these facilities,” Inslee said during a Thursday press conference.
The announcement comes a day after federal agencies relaxed policies at nursing homes.
The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, with guidance from the CDC, began allowing in-person, indoor visits to vaccinated residents.
