The family of a 6-year-old boy who sustained facial injuries in a dog attack in February while visiting a Georgia park are now seeking justice.
Kristie Dix, the mother of the child, has launched a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign asking for donations to help retain an attorney after her son, Eric, was attacked by a German shepherd on February 2, at Piedmont Park in Atlanta.
The mother said her son required reconstructive surgery, including dozens of stitches, and has been left traumatized by the incident.
As of April 7, the campaign has raised a total of $1,240 of its $50,000 goal, with donations from 36 donors. Dix wrote on the GoFundMe page: [The family is] seeking an attorney, counseling and complete participation from animal control.
