Jamaica centre-back Chantelle Swaby says she is eager to get started at Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) 1 leaders Rangers after joining the club from Sky Blue FC in the United States.
The 22-year-old defender will have to wait to make her debut at the club because of a three-week suspension of a range of leagues in Scotland following a rise in COVID-19 cases.
“It feels great to be here, as soon as I got the call from the coaches and they expressed how interested they were in me it was definitely something that I put first on my plate, Swaby told Rangers TV after signing with the club until the end of the season.

Molin joins after previous spells in Italy with Sassoulo and Verona – where she was team captain – and also with AIK and Kristianstads in the Swedish top flight.
Commenting, Head Coach Scott Booth told glasgowcityfc.co.uk: “Julia is a player I have been interested in for a long time now. She defends incredibly well with her tenacious appetite to stop the opposition. Julia is a leader and her experience is another welcomed aspect of her game. That said, she is also excellent going forward.”

Lisa Robertson of Celtic FC Women has been voted as the winner of the Scottish Building Society SWPL Player of the Month for November 2020.
The midfielder played every minute for Celtic last month as they picked up maximum points from four games. This included a 1-0 win over Rangers and a 6-2 hammering of Robertson’s former club, Hibernian.
Robertson scored a goal of the season contender in their victory over Hibs and played a vital role in the middle of the park throughout November as her side bounced back from defeat to Glasgow City on the opening day of the season.
Weekend review | Liam Boyce at the double for table topping Hearts
The Edinburgh outfit face Celtic in the Scottish Cup Final next Sunday and Boyce, whose brace took his total of goals for the season to five, was relieved to get some game time after missing the midweek win at Morton.
“I missed the Morton match with a wee hamstring problem,” said Boyce, who also chalked up two assists against Queen of the South. “so just to get in and get 90 minutes under my belt felt good, and obviously getting my confidence up by scoring two goals.
“It was the perfect day. It was a great performance and it is important to keep the momentum going ahead of the big game.
