A FURIOUS battle between Nicola Sturgeon and Alex Salmond continues tonight as the SNP leader challenged her predecessor to appear before a Holyrood committee investigating the Scottish government s mishandling of harassment complaints against him.

The SNP led Scottish Government are introducing new Australian-style quarantine measures and tighter border restrictions. Under the new measures, all arrivals to Scotland from outside the Common Travel Area (UK and Ireland) will have to book and pay for managed isolation in quarantine hotels.
“The people in government are not competent and they are anti-business, so supporting indyref2 is not sensible.”
Mr McColl stressed to The Sunday Times of Scotland that when Alex Salmond was First Minister there “were pro-business people around him, and they were listened to.”
He hinted the recent dismissal of MP Joanna Cherry from the SNP Westminster front bench showed big gaps across the party and leadership.

He added: “Look at the recent dismissal of Joanna Cherry, and the absence of outspoken politicians like Kenny MacAskill and Alex Neil in senior positions in the party.

FOI request data revealed the SNP led Scottish Government had 15 civil servants working on the UK Withdrawal from the European Union (Continuity) (Scotland) Bill throughout 2020. Despite Nationalist ministers pausing plans to develop a second independence referendum bill, work on European related matters - which is normally reserved to the UK Government - has continued.
