Maybe spending a few hours on the river would be a relaxing way to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet? It’s been a hectic, noisy spell at work recently. At times I’ve been as battered as a chip-shop haddock and as stressed as the chap tasked with advising Blustering Boris on his public appearances. I call him “Sandy Storm” because there’s always a lot of wind, heat and eye-watering irritation but it’s usually pretty pointless.

Plans for visitor centre at Highland Wildlife Park given £1.9million boost © Supplied by RZSS Media Operators of the Highland Wildlife Park has received a £1.9m investment from the The National Lottery Heritage Fund to support the creation of their new visitor centre. Plans to create a “world-class” visitor experience at the Highland Wildlife Park have been given a huge boost. The team at the Kincraig-based attraction revealed their vision to create Scotland’s Wildlife Discovery Centre earlier this year and set up a Crowdfunder to help. But now the National Lottery has awarded the park £1.9million funding. The visitor experience will be a learning gateway to the Cairngorms, connecting people with nature and enabling visitors and local communities to protect endangered species.
