Three local companies were presented with an award from Mayor Councillor Andrew Hallett last week. They were Institution, Food Weighouse-Bedale and the Skipton Building Society. A spokesperson for the Litter Busters said the awards were for the selfless assistance given to help keep the town clean and tidy. They added: “The Weighouse have helped us a lot over the last three and a half years and held on to things for us, advertised and pointed people our way. The Skipton have given us grants, provided us with bulbs and sent staff out regularly to pick with us. Institution got our hi-vis for us with our logo, have baked and provided much needed coffee. We also wanted to say thank you to Standard studio (www.facebook.com/standardstudio1) for the awards.”
