A Schuyler County resident is dead following a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning just south of Watkins Glen. The crash took place around 7:18 a.m. at the intersection of state Route 414 and county Route 31 in the Town of Dix, according to the Schuyler County Sheriff s Office. Officials said Carl F. Scott, 70, of Montour Falls, was traveling south on Route 414 and was turning onto Route 31 when he pulled into the path of a motorcycle and collided with it, the sheriff s office said. The operator of the motorcycle, Nicky L. McFall, 35, of Burdett, was pronounced dead at the scene.  No charges have been filed but the investigation is continuing, according to the sheriff s office.
