UPDATE: (Feb. 2, 2021) Residents wanting to fly directly from San Angelo Regional Airport to Houston can begin doing so on April 21, officials said during a Tuesday City Council meeting.
On Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, a round-trip flight from San Angelo to Houston booked through United Airlines, operated by SkyWest Airlines, was listed for as low as $199, according to the airline s official website.

SAN ANGELO City Council members, together with City of San Angelo Development Corporation board members announced residents will soon be able to fly directly to Houston thanks to a partnership with SkyWest Airlines.
On Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, the city approved a resolution to authorize the use of sales and use tax funds in an amount not to exceed $1.2 million.
