Elaine Suglam, a resident of Cockburn Gardens in St Andrew, pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges. Prosecutors reported that, on December 19, 2019, Suglam was preparing to board a US bound flight at Norman Manley International Airport when narcotics police found six pounds of cocaine in her luggage. MOCA warns public about persons illegally offering divorce services

The Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) is again urging the public to be mindful of individuals who claim to be offering the service of divorce settlements. This comes in the wake of a St Catherine man being charged for fraud-related offenses earlier this month after he reportedly took $70,000 from another man to start divorce proceedings on his behalf four years ago. Octavious Forbes, alias ‘Jerry’, of a St Catherine address, was charged with forgery and obtaining money under false pretence. According to a report from MOCA, sometime in 2016, Forbes met the now complainant and offered to assist him in starting his divorce process for an initial fee of $70,000.
