Liverpool Crown Court AN EIGHTEEN-YEAR-OLD who has admitted to riding an off road motorbike dangerously will be sentenced by a Crown Court judge. Kane Hughes, of Acorn Street, Newton-le-Willows appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates Court. Hughes indicated a guilty plea to driving a propelled vehicle, namely an off road bike, dangerously on Newton Road, Billinge on January 25 this year. He also admitted to driving without a licence and without insurance. The case was sent to Liverpool Crown Court where Hughes will be sentenced. The 18-year-old was given an interim driving disqualification until then. he was granted unconditional bail until sentencing on Thursday, July 15.
A boy has appeared in court A SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD boy who threw a rock at an off-licence window and made demands for the shopkeeper to open the till has appeared in court. The teenager, charged with attempted robbery and criminal damage, following the incident at Nutgrove Minimart on the night of Thursday, March 18 appeared at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court. At around 9.30pm on Thursday, March 18, a report was received of a boy entering the shop on Nutgrove Road and allegedly making demands that the shopkeeper opened the till. A rock was also reportedly thrown, causing damage to the shop window.
