San Joaquin County has 22 set sites for testing, as well as popup sites that can be found on its website, http://www.sjready.org. There are 14 Stockton sites – including one at each of the four Stockton Unified School District high schools – and there are clinics in Lodi, Tracy, Manteca, Lathrop and Escalon.
“Our main goal is to mitigate the disease in the county,” Singson said. “Besides the fixed sites, we try to bring tests to those who need them and might not be able to get to them.”
The county website addresses the cost of testing at the top of the front page with this statement: “In California, if you have health insurance you are required to provide your health insurance information to be tested. You will not be charged a co-pay. Most health insurance plans will cover the full cost of testing, at no expense to you. If you don t have insurance, you will not be charged for the services provided.”

San Joaquin Delta College, and Stockton and Manteca unified school districts swore in new board members and elected officers during their meetings this week.
On Tuesday, Delta College swore in four new and returning trustees were sworn in on Tuesday night, taking their seats on the governing board for the next four years.
Elizabeth Blanchard and Kathy Garcia were sworn in as new trustees after prevailing in the November election. Incumbents Teresa Brown and Jennet Stebbins will return to the Board of Trustees for another term. San Joaquin County Superior Court Judge Jose Alva administered the oath. Steve Castellanos and Van Ha To-Cowell are leaving the board.

HR Support Pros has contracted with a different laboratory with the goal of more quickly processing COVID-19 tests administered in San Joaquin County.
The company that has set up free testing sites throughout the county the past several weeks initially worked with Flow Health, a lab in Southern California, which became overwhelmed with specimens causing lag times up to two weeks for some individuals that rendered the tests useless. Flow Health also was not integrated with the California Reportable Disease Information Exchange, the state department of public health’s electronic disease and surveillance database.
Since late November, tests administered by HR Support at 17 sites within San Joaquin County, including nine Stockton Unified School District campuses, are processed by Menlo Park-based Avellino Precision Medicine. The state expected to see the largest drop in enrollment is New Mexico with a projected 12 percent decrease, while Washington D.C. is projected to see a 14 percent increase over the same time period.
