More vaccination sites added to Stockport’s Covid vaccination programme
New sites are now open for Stockport residents to get their vaccinations.
Three new Covid-19 vaccination sites are now live in Stockport. Boots Chemist at Merseyway, Boots Chemist in Handforth Dean and Medichem Pharmacy at Woodley Precinct are now offering vaccination appointments to anyone aged 30 and over, health and care workers, unpaid carers and those with underlying health conditions.
They will be joined by a fourth site, operated by Well Pharmacy, at Hazel Grove Civic Hall, on Tuesday, 2 June, 2021.

A hairdresser from Bredbury is Stockport’s 100,000th patient to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
A hairdresser from Bredbury is Stockport’s 100,000th patient to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Michelle Conway, aged 42, qualified for the vaccine due to underlying health conditions. She received the milestone jab at Bredbury Medical Centre. This is one of the vaccination centres supported by NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group.
She said: “I can’t believe that I’m the 100,000 person to be vaccinated in Stockport. I’ve never been so excited to have an injection in my life. If the vaccine gets us closer to having a normal life, I’d have gone anywhere at any time to have it.
