Judge Gary White granted Rochelle Smith, 25, accelerated rehabilitation at Stamford Superior Court Tuesday, which will see Smith placed on one-year probation. Smith told White on Tuesday that he had “made a big mistake” back in October 2019 when he and friend put a plan in motion to try and steal a wallet containing $7,000 that had been left at the Post Road East eatery.

Police said an investigation revealed that Ian “Easy” Evans, 24, is the one who pulled the trigger in the shooting death of Shernetta Dunmore at a block party on the city’s East Side. Evans, who was already facing charges in relation to the shooting, was hit with the new felony charge as he attended Stamford Superior Court on Thursday.

Julio Roldan-Garcia, 49, of Walkill, N.Y., entered the not guilty pleas in a hearing before Judge John Blawie at Stamford Superior Court. Roldan-Garcia was a former operations manager for Integrated Building Management, a facility maintenance service based in Stamford, according to his arrest warrant. During his time with the company, Roldan-Garcia orchestrated a scheme where he would artificially increase the amount of hours worked by certain company employees and then would pocket the extra money, the warrant said.

Mark Davenport, 31, was arrested last week outside Harrisburg in southern Pennsylvania after a high-speed car chase ended with him stealing a state trooper’s gun and attempting to kill him with it, police said. Police said the incident began when Davenport was clocked driving 90 mph on the Pennsylvania Turnpike last Thursday in Cumberland County.
