신세계, 스타벅스코리아 지분 17 5% 추가인수…최대주주 됐다

[헤럴드경제=오연주 기자] 신세계그룹이 스타벅스커피 코리아의 지분을 추가 인수해 최대 주주가 됐다. 이마트는 스타벅스커피 인터내셔널이 보유하고 있던 스타벅스커피 코리아 지분 50% 중 17.5%를 추가 인수한다고 밝혔다. 주식 70만주로 취득금액은 약 4743억원이다. 이에 따라 신세계그룹은 기존 지분 50%를 포함, 스타벅스커피 코리아 지분 67.5%를 보유하게 된다. 잔여 지분 32.5%는 싱가포르 국부 펀드인 싱가포르 투자청(GIC)이 장기적 투자 관점에서 인수키로 했다. 신세계그룹은 지난 1999년 이대 앞에 한국 스타벅스 1호점을 연 이후 미국 스타벅스 본사와 지속적인 협력관계를 유지·발전시켜왔고, 향후 한국시장에서의 새로운 성장을 위한 다양한 논의 끝에 추가 지분 인수를 결정했다고 밝혔다. 이번 지분 인수 이후에도 한국의 스타벅스 운영은 기

SEOUL, July 27 Starbucks Corp said on Monday it will exit any direct ownership in South Korea, its fifth-largest market, selling the 50 per cent stake it owns in a joint venture to local partner E-Mart Inc and Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, GIC. E-Mart, which currently owns 50 per cent of Starbucks Coffee Korea, said it would acquire an additional 17.5 per cent stake that would be worth 474 billion won (RM1.7 billion).
