America finally received the news we ve all been waiting for last night - a COVID-19 relief package and stimulus payments are on the way.
President Trump signed the bill on Sunday night after announcing a bit of back and forth on Twitter.
At up to $600 each, the checks are half the amount the government authorized earlier in 2020 under the CARES Act, but I can assure you the payments will bring some much-needed relief for families across the country.
So just how much will your check be? For the most part, the income bases remain the same as they did this summer when calculating if you ll receive the maximum amount in your check.

HOUSTON - Congress is finally expected to pass a second COVID-19 relief bill Monday worth $900 billion. President Trump says he will sign it.
This bill comes as pandemic unemployment benefits and the CDC national eviction moratorium is about to expire in days. Millions of people are struggling to pay their bills and face losing their homes.
For those who are self-employed, freelance, or work part-time workers, the bill extends Pandemic Unemployment Assistance so they may collect benefits they might not ordinarily qualify for. Some self-employed and gig workers may also qualify for an additional $100 a week.

After months of back-and-forth discussions, Congress has finally passed a second stimulus package.
Officials voted Monday night to approve the $900 billion pandemic relief bill, which was then forwarded to President Donald Trump for his signature.
“We put our heads down and worked around the clock for nearly a month to produce a bipartisan, bicameral bill to address the emergency needs of our country,” the lawmakers involved in the mattered said in an official statement. “Our consensus was the foundation of this final package.”

After months of delays, U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin says a second round of stimulus checks could begin going out as early as next week.
Congress reached a deal on a $900 billion coronavirus economic relief package that includes a direct payment of $600 for most Americans to help out with financial hardships caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Americans with taxable income under $75,000 (or $150,000 for couples filing jointly) will be eligible for the full amount: $600 per adult or $1,200 per couple, with an additional $600 per child.
