Mel has released a music video all about domestic abuse, in which she appears beaten and covered in fake bruises.
The 45-year-old said the video, called ‘Love Should Not Hurt’, was inspired by her own experiences while in a decade-long marriage to ex-husband Stephen Belafonte.
‘You just don t really know how to get out’
She has previously accused him of “emotional and physical abuse”, which he denies.
The track - which highlights the various natures of domestic abuse - was also inspired by conversations with survivors of domestic abuse and the impact of lockdown.
The song was made in collaboration with classical composer Fabio D Andrea.

Melanie Brown (Mel B) has spoken candidly about her experience of domestic abuse, including missing the signs of coercive control at the start of her relationship.
The Spice Girl and TV judge married Hollywood producer Stephen Belafonte in 2007. Over the course of their 10-year relationship she alleges that she suffered physical, sexual, verbal and financial abuse. They reached a private settlement in 2017, just before charges of domestic abuse were due to be heard in court.

Mel, 45, revealed: I’m with somebody who’s very kind, very honest, very loving. I need somebody understanding.
Susanna asked if she was in a happy place , and Mel replied: I have good days and bad days, when you deal with trauma and the things I’ve been through, it doesn’t just go away.

In recent years, former-Spice Girl Mel B has spoken about enduring a physically and emotionally abusive relationship with her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte, becoming a high profile advocate for charities supporting victims of domestic violence.
Brown and her ex-husband were together for 10 years, and from the outside looking in, it appeared to be a happy marriage at first. However, in her 2018 memoir
Brutally Honest, published almost a year after their divorce was finalised, Mel alleged ongoing physical, sexual, verbal and financial abuse by Belafonte.
In 2017, shortly before a trial relating to the alleged abuse was due to start in Los Angeles, Brown and Belafonte reached a private settlement. He has denied all allegations made against him by Mel, although he has an uncontested charge of battery against another former partner, Nicole Contreras, on his record.

The Spice Girls singer - who divorced Stephen Belafonte in 2017 amidst allegations he was physically and emotionally abusive towards her during their relationship, claims which he has denied - recently revealed she has found love again and though she insisted she wants to keep her personal life private now, she s very happy with her very, very kind new lover.
She said: âIâm with someone whoâs very kind. Very, very kind. And more than anything weâre really good friends from way back.â
Asked if it s someone from her native Leeds, where show now lives, she laughed: âIâm not telling you! Itâs private! Please, everything else is out in the open. Jesus!â And she bursts out laughing.
