Meet Jay. This 9-month-old pup came in as stray to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society in Utica and now he’s looking for his new forever home. He is a really happy, friendly guy who loves people. He does well with other dogs and cats. He does still have that puppy energy and he loves to play.
Jay is neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $120.
Since the shelter is currently closed for viewing, an appointment to meet him will be set up once an online application is approved at stevens-swan.org.
It s not too often that the Utica Fire Department battles water instead of fire, but that was the case in East Utica.
The Utica Fire Department announced that a crew was helping to pump water out of a flooded basement in East Utica on Friday. During the course of the pumping of the water, firefighters made a surprising discovery.
While history has shown fire fighters typically save kittens who are trapped in trees, a Utica Fire crew made a surprising discovery of three tiny kittens in the flooded basement. The Utica Fire Department announced that the crew from Truck 2 found the kittens and were able to safely remove them from the building and safely transport them back to the station.
This week Cindy's Underdogs are Grizzly and Koda! These handsome boys are 1 1/2-year-old German Shepherd/Boxer mixes. They were turned into Stevens-Swan Humane Society when the owners could no longer care for them.
