UNN and DE-CIX partner to deliver Borneo-IX Sign in with LinkedIn
05 February 2021 | Natalie Bannerman Unified National Networks (UNN), the national network infrastructure operator of Brunei, and DE-CIX, have partnered to establishing Borneo-IX powered by DE-CIX.
Located at the Tungku submarine cable station in Brunei Darussalam Borneo-IX is officially ready for service. This new interconnection platform will serve the Southeast Asian region in an extension to other DE-CIX metro markets in Malaysia and Singapore.
“While Singapore has been a major content hub for the region for the last decade the DE-CIX Asia interconnection ecosystem brings low-latency and high-speed connectivity to underserved areas of the region, enabling the exchange of traffic locally, but also direct interconnection with networks at other DE-CIX IXs in the region,” said Ivo Ivanov (pictured), CEO of DE-CIX International.
