Florida State University leads bar exam pass rate in February After a series of hishaps, Florida finally managed to administer the Bar Exam. Pass rate percentages ranged from the high 30s to 78. Florida State University College of Law leads the state in the percentage of first-time bar exam test-takers in February who passed the test required for admittance into the Florida Bar. Though the school had significantly fewer test-takers than other schools, of FSU’s nine examinees, seven passed the exam, or just under 78%. The next most successful school in the February cohort was Florida International University College of Law, with a 75% pass rate among its 20 first-time exam-takers.

Wozniak appointed to 5th DCA Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed Carrie Ann Wozniak, of Winter Park, to serve on the 5th District Court of Appeal. She fills the spot of Judge Richard Orfinger, who retired. The court s jurisdiction includes Marion County. Wozniak has been a partner at Akerman LLP, a top 100 U.S. law firm, since 2013, DeSantis office said in a news release. She previously served as a staff attorney at the Florida Supreme Court. The Law Offices of Eddie Farah was established in 1980 after firm founder Eddie Farah graduated from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. In 1990, his brother, Chuck, graduated from Cumberland and the firm’s name changed to Farah & Farah.
