Stearns County Sheriff s Office (KNSI) – An 86-year-old man who became lost after crashing his car in Stearns County was found by a bloodhound. The sheriff’s office says they began looking for Ambrose Gertken around 10:30 on Wednesday morning after his car was found in a drainage ditch in the 12000-block of 130th Avenue in St. Wendel Township. A search was conducted using the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office U.A.V. (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and the Sheriff’s Office K9 Bloodhound, Storm. Storm was able to lead authorities to Gertken, who was found sitting under a tree, alert and conscious.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office at about 7:26 p.m. received a report of a side-by-side ATV crash with injuries in Farming Township, according to a news release. The caller said a side-by-side ATV had gone off the road and rolled. When deputies arrived, they learned that the 2019 Polaris Ranger, driven by Robert Dingmann, 62, had left the roadway on the left side of the road, struck a culvert and became airborne, according to the release.
