Four injured, including minor, in three-vehicle crash Monday in Richmond

RICHMOND A three-vehicle crash resulted in four injuries Monday morning in Richmond, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
According to the State Patrol, Randi Joy Schreifels, 38, of Cold Spring; Wayne Allen Sieben, 73, of Paynesville; Leland Patrick Morovitz, 6, of Paynesville; and Claire Alice Swerine, 28, of Richmond, all suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Schreifels was transported to St. Could Hospital while Sieben, Morovitz and Swerine were all transported privately.
According to the crash report, Sieben, driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, was traveling westbound on Highway 23 when he lost control on an icy bridge deck.
ATV breaks through thin ice in Stearns County

Two people escaped a sinking ATV on Saturday after it fell through thin ice in Stearns County.
Just before 5 p.m. Saturday, the Stearns County Sheriff s Office received a report of a side-by-side ATV that had broken through the ice on the north end of Two Rivers Lake in Holding Township.

Cory Hanson and 44-year-old
Lori Hanson of Avon had been driving their 2017 Polaris Ranger side by side when it broke through the ice. They were both able to get out of the vehicle and make it safely out of the water to a nearby icehouse.

The ATV is submerged in what is believed to be approximately 27 feet of water. The area had recently had open water and not long ago frozen over due to waterfowl in the area. Hanson has made arrangements with a private tow service to have the ATV removed from the lake.

Two people safely escaped after an ATV fell through the ice at Two Rivers Lake on Saturday in Holding Township.
According to Stearns County Sheriff s Office, at 4:58 p.m., officers responded to a report of a side-by-side ATV that had fallen through the ice on the north end of Two Rivers Lake in Holding Township.
Cory Hanson, 42, and Lori Hanson, 44, of Avon, had been operating their 2017 Polaris Ranger side by side ATV on the far north end of the lake. While in the area, they broke through a section of thin ice. Both were able to escape the sinking ATV and make it safely out of the water to a nearby icehouse.
Crash
WILLMAR A delivery truck hit a shed Monday afternoon because the vehicle wasn’t in park and rolled back on the 1300 block of 22nd Street Southwest.
According to the report, a 2017 Ford F-550 truck damaged steel on the outside of West Central Industries around 6:30 a.m. Monday and the parties are exchanging insurance information.
Stolen catalytic converters
WILLMAR A total of three catalytic converters were reported stolen, two Sunday afternoon and one Monday morning, from vehicles on the 3300 block of U.S. Highway 12 West.
Stolen handbag
ORTONVILLE A brown handbag, containing credit cards, a bank card, Social Security card and $90, was reported stolen early Monday morning on the 700 block of Second Street Southeast.
