The 2021 Crawfordsville Strawberry Festival is definitely on for this year. The festival will take place on the Lane Place grounds June 11-13 with all of the food, fun, and entertainment that has become the tradition of the Crawfordsville Strawberry Festival while recognizing that we are still living in an unusual time. The festival committee is working with public health officials to create more space for social distancing and methods to limit close contact to keep the festival as safe as possible for everyone. Here are some of the changes for this year:

ROANOKE, Va – Despite the wind, the Community School’s annual Strawberry Festival kicked off in Roanoke Friday.
This year people can enjoy their favorite desserts and treats in a drive-through setting at the Berglund Center because of the pandemic.
Organizers say the money brought in from the festival will make a big difference in the lives of their students.
“We just ask that you have some patience, this new venue here and just come out and enjoy and try to remember that we’re staffed entirely by volunteers and so volunteers,” Director of Marketing and Development Liz Johnson said.

Buckhannon’s annual Strawberry Festival has always ensured competitions among State strawberry growers and a native of that town has won its sweepstakes awards at least three consecutive years since she began her large Hardy County Old Fields area strawberry operations.
Miriam Schabinger Leatherman has planted this fruit at her Buena Vista Berries Farm fields for the past 10 years. The three-quarter acre plot is home to 8,000 strawberry plants. A former County Extension Agent for Families and Health, she insists on growing a natural berry using fertilized soil, but no chemical spraying.

6th annual Strawberry Festival in Moulton helps small businesses
The festival is continuing on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 7 p.m.

This weekend is the 6th annual Strawberry Festival in Moulton.
The festival was canceled last year because of the pandemic, but this year, it s back and better than ever.
The festival is going on at the Lions Club Fairgrounds. Friday morning, there was the first-ever Lawrence County Wellness Run.
There are about 100 vendors set up all throughout the festival. Several of the vendors told WAAY 31 that the festival is already helping them financially after this past year.
