For the first time in months, the weekly coronavirus case count in schools across Hillsborough, Hernando, Pasco and Pinellas counties appears to have fallen below 500. But some relative hot spots remain, particularly in the eastern part of Hillsborough.
Gamael Nassar has been selected by the Lebanon City Council to fill out the remainder of the term vacated by Karin Stauder.
He was the unanimous choice of the cityâs six councilors following public interviews with him and fellow candidate David McClain on Wednesday night.
Nassar will be sworn in during the council session on April 14 and will represent Ward II through the end of 2022. That seat is one of the positions which will be contested in the November 2022 general election.
Nassar â who operates an insurance agency with his wife, Jenny Sheldon-Nassar, and is well known locally by the nickname âMr. Gâ â impressed the councilors with his qualifications and the thoroughness of his application.

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 13(ANI): After the grand success of the Strawberry Festival in Jhansi and the Jaggery Festival in Lucknow, the Uttar Pradesh state government is organising a three-day Kalanamak Rice Festival in Siddharthnagar district from March 13.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, in his sustained efforts of creating new income opportunities for the farmers, has stressed on promoting the localised production and providing them with a market.
The chief minister will inaugurate the festival virtually at 11.30 am today.
Kala Namak Rice, grown in this region, is One District One Product (ODOP) of some Eastern UP districts.
