Gary Zink Jr.
The Jamestown Police Department arrested a Jamestown man following a pursuit Thursday, according to Maj. Justin Blinsky, assistant chief of police.
Gary Frederick Zinck Jr., 45, is in custody in the Stutsman County Correctional Center, arrested on suspicion of felony fleeing or attempting to elude police, felony reckless endangerment and on a North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation warrant of arrest. Zinck was also cited for possession of marijuana.
Blinsky said a Jamestown police officer attempted to stop a 2009 Ford Focus for a traffic violation at 2:22 p.m. Thursday in the 800 block of 4th Avenue Northeast. The vehicle immediately fled from officers, driving in a reckless manner, according to Blinsky. The driver of the vehicle, Zinck, was later determined to be wanted on a warrant and had a passenger in the vehicle with him.
