4 men indicted in racially motivated assault of Black man

SEATTLE (AP) A federal grand jury indicted four men from Idaho, Oregon and Washington state, accusing them of hate crimes and making false statements in the assault of a Black man at a suburban Seattle bar, authorities said Friday.
An investigation by the FBI and the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office of the incident two years ago at The Rec Room Bar & Grill in Lynnwood prompted the indictment.
Several men tried to take over a Black disc jockey’s audio equipment and beat him when he protested, The Seattle Times reported.

SEATTLE – U.S. Marshals arrested a homicide suspect wanted out of Pittsburgh in north Seattle Thursday morning.
According to the U.S. Marshals office, 36-year-old Terrence Washington was arrested in north Seattle on charges of Criminal Homicide and Possession of a Firearm. He is accused of murdering the mother of his child in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on November 10.
Washington was arrested at a home on Stone Avenue and North Northgate Way without incident, the U.S. Marshals’ Office says.
The arrest was made with assistance from the King County Sheriff’s Office, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the Seattle Police Department, and the Department of Corrections.

MILL CREEK, Wash. - A man and woman were stabbed Monday evening during an altercation that began as an argument over a reserved parking spot at a Mill Creek apartment complex, sheriff s officials said.
Two suspects in the stabbing are now under arrest.
The incident unfolded at around 5 p.m. in the parking lot outside the Puget Park Apartments in the 13000 block of Meridian Avenue South, said Courtney O Keefe of the Snohomish County Sheriff s Office.
Deputies responded to the scene after receiving reports of a stabbing and found two victims - a 37-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man - with stab wounds. Both were conscious when found and their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. They were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.
