Coroner Dennis Fowler said John L. Peterson, of Blacksburg, died of injuries he suffered Monday in a two-vehicle crash near South Carolina Highway 5.Sign up for our Newsletters South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers said the crash was on Kings Creek Drive, 5 miles south of Blacksburg. Peterson s 1997 Nissan pickup truck was headed north on Kings Creek Drive about 1 p.m. when he attempted to make a left turn and turned into the path of a 2014 Ford SUV headed south, troopers said.
