Three Arrested, Guns Seized in New Bedford Drug Raid

On Tuesday, December 15, members of the Fall River Police Department Vice and Intelligence Unit, along with members of the FBI Metro Boston Gang Task Force, Boston Police, New Bedford Police, and Massachusetts State Police simultaneously executed two search warrants at two apartments located at 156 Chestnut Street in New Bedford.
In an apartment on the first floor south and in the basement area, authorities found a total of 7.6 grams of suspected cocaine, a silver digital scale, and a loaded Springfield Armory semi-automatic 9mm handgun.

Anchorage Felon Sentenced to Over Six and a Half Years in Federal Prison for Trafficking Heroin and Possessing a Firearm
Anchorage, Alaska – U.S. Attorney Bryan Schroder announced that 34-year-old Blake Lincoln Smith of Anchorage, Alaska, has been sentenced on charges of possessing heroin with intent to distribute and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The charges stemmed from a search warrant execution on Smith’s vehicle on July 23, 2019, from which a loaded Springfield Armory XD-40 semiautomatic pistol and 179 grams of heroin were seized. At the time, Smith was on probation for drug possession and felony eluding convictions from the State of Alaska. He also had a felony conviction for vehicle theft.

This past year has been a real bust for many USPSA and IDPA major matches. Sorry if I overstated the obvious, but they are the best place to test firearms other than a trip to Gunsite or Sig Academy. A Wagener man was officially charged Sunday night in the fatal shooting of a 34-year-old man in the head.
Drekwon Tirrell Davenport, 22, of Wagener was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to jail reports.Â
An incident report and arrest warrants by the Aiken County Sheriff s Office provide additional details on the case.Â
Around 3:49 a.m., deputies responded to Dairy Barn Road near New Holland Road in Wagener following reports of an injured person laying in the road, an incident report states.Â
When deputies arrived, they located an unresponsive Black male laying on the road, face down with an apparent gunshot wound to his head.Â
