Health Department & Jordan Valley Health Center Providing COVID Vaccinations for Healthcare Workers
Healthcare workers who are not affiliated with a healthcare system or a long-term care facility can receive their vaccinations for COVID-19 starting Thursday, December 31, at Jordan Valley Community Health Center.
The initial round of vaccines is aimed at helping the state’s efforts to vaccinate all healthcare workers who fall under Phase 1A of the state’s four-phase approach for vaccinations.
“Healthcare workers face a wide range of hazards, especially in the fight against COVID-19. It’s crucial that we vaccinate these workers to ensure that they are protected while they take care of all of us,” Chief Medical Officer Dr. Nancy Yoon said in a statement. “We are grateful to Jordan Valley Community Health Center for helping us get a head start on vaccinating this group of individuals. Moving through this phase will bring us one step closer to a return to normal.
