(AUDIO) Missouri’s third mega vaccination event comes at pivotal time
The state of Missouri is organizing its third mega vaccination event. Up to 10,000 total doses of coronavirus vaccine could be given Thursday and Friday at the Hammons Student Center on the Missouri State University campus.
Dr. Russell Kohl is a colonel in the Missouri National Guard and is also a family physician who is helping to organize the event. He encourages Missourians to get vaccinated during this pivotal time.

In Monday’s Springfield City Council meeting, an ordinance has been approved to move reopening to the “Yellow Phase”.
In a one-reading emergency bill, #sgfcouncil approves an ordinance moving into the yellow phase of reopening, which will remove occupancy restrictions, allow buffet dining and special events under 500 people. April 9 to April 16.
The phase is set to begin April 16.
Social distancing is still being urged by the city.

Springfield City Council is planning to move the city to the next phase in the road to recovery on April 16.
Council voted Monday night to move from the red phase to the yellow phase. It will remove COVID-19 occupancy restrictions and will allow buffet dining and special events under 500 people.
Greene County has hit two of the thresholds required to enter the yellow phase, including fewer than 50 people hospitalized in COVID-19 isolation and fewer than 40 new cases of COVID-19 per day based on a seven-day rolling average. The third threshold to move to the next phase hasn’t been met: 25 percent of the population 16 and older fully vaccinated. As of Monday, the vaccination rate was 19.25 percent.
