A winter storm bearing down on the region could drop over a foot of snow in some parts of Massachusetts, including the Pioneer Valley and the Berkshires.

School closings
With school districts relying on a range of in-person and online learning options due to the COVID-19 pandemic, snow days aren’t what they used to be. Some districts are calling off classes Thursday, while others are holding “remote learning” days.
