At a packed meeting Tuesday in Springfield, opponents of critical race theory called for parents and taxpayers to fight back.
The panel of political, faith and civic leaders answered audience questions and offered detailed advice on how to ferret out and eradicate the academic concept in public school curriculum, policy and training.
They called for cameras in classrooms, organizing school attendance strikes, speaking up at school board meetings, using social media, supporting school choice options, and obtaining and reviewing all school curriculum. The guidelines require all districts to offer full-time, in-person instruction for all students every day of the week. Kids really need the socialization especially after the last year, when everything was locked down, said Barbara Iseli, who has grandchildren in Eugene s 4J school district.

It s like the sun coming up in the morning and setting at night, Fauci said. If you have a low level of vaccination, which certain sections of the state of Missouri have, you are going to see an increase in infections, which ultimately might lead to an increase in hospitalizations.
Dealing with COVID vaccine hesitancy
The fight against vaccine hesitancy and fear, Fauci said, is a complicated one with people in Missouri and throughout the U.S. pointing toward several factors dissuading them. He urged their families and peers to exercise patience, empathy and accuracy while encouraging those resisting vaccination to get their shot.
