The Springfield Police Department has started rolling out its body camera program.
More than 200 patrol officers will be fitted and assigned a camera as the week goes on.
The department says the cameras will be in operation during all interactions with people in the city.

On Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, the Springfield Police Department began rolling out its new body-worn camera program. The process will continue throughout the week as more than 200 patrol officers are assigned and fitted with a camera.
