Knead Community Café accepting donations
Knead Community Café, New Kensington, is accepting donations to help the daily operation of the café, 1011 Barnes St.
Items on the café’s wish list include white premium napkins, Clorox wipes, disposable latex or nitrile gloves size large or extra-large, , 6x6-inch or 9x9-inch single compartment Styrofoam hinged takeout containers, foil sheet wraps, instant iced tea mix with lemon and sugar, Tide or Gain laundry powdered detergent and Sam’s Club gift cards.

Health Foundation to give away hams, potatoes
Allegheny-Kiski Health Foundation will distribute free ham and potatoes this month.
The giveaway is limited to the first 100 individuals in need who phone the foundation to register at 724-294-3157 and provide their name, phone number and email address. Registration is limited to one ham and five-pound bag of potatoes per family per phone call. Registrants will be given instructions as to when, where and how the food will be distributed and must arrange for transportation to the distribution site.

Online resume and interview workshops scheduled
Pennsylvania CareerLink Alle-Kiski will offer workshops on Zoom.us for those needing help with resumes and interviewing.
A workshop about resumes will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and an interviewing workshop will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., both March 17. Sue Diehl will be the instructor.

Today: Community Library of Allegheny Valley will offer a virtual performance of Dr. Seuss’, “There’s A Wocket in My Pocket,” by Stage Right at 6:30 p.m. online at Zoom.us. Registration required.
Wednesday: Harrison Zoning Hearing Board will conduct a public hearing at 7 p.m. in the township building, Park Avenue and Springhill Road.

Wednesday: Allegheny Valley Association of Churches Food Bank will be open to anyone in need from 1:30 to 5 p.m. at 1913 Freeport Road, Natrona Heights. Pull into the center parking lot and food will be placed into your vehicle. Those who are not yet registered should come from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Monday: Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company will host bingo at 7 p.m. at the firehall
March 14: A vendor bingo will be hosted at 1 p.m. in the Elks ballroom, 128 Market St. Doors open at noon. Ten games will award vendor prizes and the 11
th game will be a $250 must-go jackpot. The kitchen will be open. Must be at least 18 years old to attend. Cost: $20.

April 1: Tickets are on sale for a No Foolin’ Lottery Scratch-off Ticket Raffle to benefit Leechburg Area Community Association and Leechburg Public Library. Winner receives one roll of $20 and one roll of $10 scratch-off tickets. Cost: $5, includes two numbers. Winning number will be the 7 p.m. April 1 Pick 3 number.
