Dave Campbell’s Texas Football revealed its Class A preseason football rankings Tuesday, and a couple of familiar faces appear. In Class A Division I, the May Tigers, coming off a state championship game appearance, are ranked No. 3 heading into the season. The Tigers are coming off a 13-2 campaign with both losses at the hands of state champion Sterling City. In Class A Division II, the Richland Springs Coyotes, who also advanced to the state final, are ranked No. 2 following a 12-1 campaign a year ago. The Coyotes will be seeking their 10th state championship this season and lead the six-man ranks with nine state crowns.
