SPRINGVILLE Clay-Chalkville boys basketball coach Jeremy Monceaux is on the move.
Following a historic 2020-21 season with the Cougars that included a Class 6A, Area 12 championship and a regional finals run, Monceaux has decided it’s time for a change.

The longtime Clay-Chalkville coach has been board approved for the same position at Springville High School. He takes over for Jeff Smith, who left to become the head boys coach at Pell City in April.
Monceaux led the Cougars to a 21-5 record last season, which ended with the program’s first-ever appearance in the regional finals at Wallace State Community College. Clay-Chalkville’s playoff run also included at 58-40 first-round win over Muscle Shoals, followed by a 52-47 second-round victory over Buckhorn.

ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. (WKBW) â The Erie County Department of Health is holding several Pfizer COVID-19 clinics for anyone who is at least 12-years-old.
The health department is holding clinics offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine at the following locations, on the following dates
Saturday, May 15: Southside Elementary School, 430 Southside Parkway, Buffalo
Tuesday, May 18: Springville High School (Moderna also offered to anyone 18+), 290 North Buffalo Street, Springville
Wednesday, May 19: SUNY Erie Community College South, 4041 Southwestern Boulevard, Orchard Park
Saturday, May 22: SUNY Erie Community College North, 6205 Main Street, Williamsville

LOCKPORT, N.Y. Following approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, the Niagara County and Erie County health departments are expanding their clinics to allow registration for people 12 years of age and older.
“Now that federal and state officials have authorized the Pfizer vaccine for children as young as 12, it is important for parents and caregivers to take advantage of this expanded access to the free vaccine for their children before next school year,” Niagara County Public Health Director Daniel J. Stapleton said in a release.
Erie County: nearly 48% of eligible residents have completed COVID vaccine series

BUFFALO, N.Y. Nearly 39 percent of Erie County residents are fully vaccinated, the health department announced Friday.
The county said 38.9 percent of its residents have completed the COVID-19 vaccine series, while 49.7 percent of residents have had at least one dose. Those numbers from the New York State Department of Health run through Thursday.
When it comes to eligible residents who are at least 16 years old receiving the vaccine, the numbers are 47.7 percent of people having completed the vaccine series and 60.6 percent with at least one dose.
