It s been a busy few weeks for amusement parks throughout New England announcing their opening dates and that guests can expect when they visit. Palace Playland in Old Orchard Beach joined the party on Monday, announcing on Facebook that they will officially open the park over Memorial Day weekend.
Will All The Rides Be Open At Palace Playland In 2021?
While Palace Playland didn t clarify this through their Facebook page, it does appear the park plans to operate under similar circumstances to years past. (not 2020) If you re a frequent visitor, you know that not all rides at Palace Playland are always open immediately. Between assembling a seasonal staff and the unpredictable end-of-spring Maine weather, Palace Playland will likely open as many of their 28 rides as they can over Memorial Day weekend. Palace Playland plans to have rides operational on weekends only through June 18th until they fully open 7 days per week for the season.
Staff & AP report
AUGUSTA, Maine The state no longer requires people in Maine to wear face coverings outdoors, regardless of whether they have been vaccinated.
Mills said the state is updating its public health guidance to reflect the fact that the risk of COVID transmission outdoors is especially low as more people get vaccinated. With the summer months nearly upon us, this offers a great opportunity for people to get outside and safely enjoy all that Maine has to offer, Mills said. I applaud all the work Maine people have put in to protect themselves and others and continue to encourage them to get vaccinated and wear a mask when inside or when around others so that we can get this pandemic fully behind us, she added.
