The infusion clinic at Blodgett Hospital, 1840 Wealthy St. SE, replaces a smaller clinic that has been operating since December at the Spectrum Health Medical Center in downtown Grand Rapids. This is great news for all of West Michigan as we battle COVID-19! Spectrum Health West Michigan will open an infusion clinic at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital on Feb. 10 that uses monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of COVID-19 under a U.S. Food and Drug Administration Emergency Use Authorization. The infusion treatment features Eli Lilly s Bamlanivimab and Regeneron s Casirivimab and Imdevimab combination. Bamlanivimab also is being used at Spectrum Health Lakeland to treat COVID-19 patients as part of their COVID-19 Medication Therapies program. The infusion clinic at Blodgett Hospital replaces a smaller clinic that has been operating since December at the Spectrum Health medical center in downtown Grand Rapids. Developed with expertise and input from the Spectrum Health infectious disease team, the new clinic will provide more space and scheduling opportunities for treatment.

He will begin his new role in April. Moses comes to Spectrum Health from Boston University School of Medicine, Boston Medical Center, where he served as chief quality officer and vice president of quality and safety. At Spectrum Health, Moses will develop and execute strategy, set targets and lead efforts for continuous improvement of quality, safety and patient experience. He will be responsible for integrating quality, safety and patient experience through collaborative leadership and targeted initiatives across Spectrum Health West Michigan.

A large-scale clinic at DeVos Place convention center in downtown Grand Rapids is scheduled to open Monday as part of a partnership between the Kent County Health Department, Spectrum Health and Mercy Health Saint Mary’s. Initially, the clinic will have roughly 7,200 doses of the vaccine to distribute starting next week, with the goal of eventually ramping up to 20,000 doses a day. However, with the vaccine in high-demand and short-supply, it’s unclear when the clinic will be able to reach that goal.
