DANVILLE, Va. â Sovah Health Tuesday announced that Spencer Thomas will join its team as chief executive officer (CEO) at Sovah Health â Martinsville (SHM) in August.
Thomas joins SHM from Central Carolina Hospital (CCH) in Sanford, NC, where he has served as CEO since 2017. He will replace Tory Shepherd, chief operating officer (COO) of SHM, who has been serving as interim CEO. Shepherd will continue her role as COO following the transition.

CCTV footage has been relased of the main suspect of a vicious sexual assault on a girl in Welling on Friday (April 23). The victim was grabbed and forced to the ground whilst walking on the street in broad daylight by a man in his 30s wearing a Christmas jumper. Police say they understand incidents of this nature are both shocking and concerning for the local community, and are appealing for help bring the culprit to justice. Patrols in the area have also been increased, and the girl and her family are being supported by specially trained officers. Met Police say the victim was on route to a dance class in Welling at around 4:20pm on April 23 when she passed the junction of Maxwell Road, DA16.
