SPOKANE, Wash. A man found dead in Liberty Park following a police chase died by suicide, according to the Spokane County Medical Examiner.
The man was identified as 35-year-old Blane Peterson.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said a Bureau of Indian Affairs officer tried to stop Peterson for a traffic violation early Monday morning, just north of Northern Quest Casino. He reportedly drove off and led multiple agencies on a car chase.
Airway Heights Police and Kalispel Tribal Police responded to help and reported Peterson fired shots at them while trying to run other cars off the road.
