Sports Illustrated and he gave some high praise to WWE NXT Superstar Dakota Kai, saying,
“We have an incredibly talented roster, especially our women, but look at Dakota. She’s a special one. Let’s use the WarGames match [from December] as an example. Look at the a kicking she took, bouncing around and getting back. That’s an art, and she’s mastering it.
What you see Dakota doing, I always pictured myself in that role because I wanted to Ping-Pong around the ring for my opponent. That’s one of the reasons I became who I became in the business, so watching Dakota, I am so impressed.”

Kickoff
Kicking off the night was Ricochet who, try as he might, was unable to overcome United States Champion Sheamus in a non-title bout on the Kickoff show. While The Celtic Warrior issued an open challenge, he declined to put his title on the line, and despite digging deep, Ricochet couldn’t keep Sheamus down, with the champion sealing the first win of the night. Ricochet may have left without a title but he did make off with Sheamus’ hat and coat.
Rey Mysterio On Winning The SmackDown Tag Team Titles With His Son Dominik

New WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio took to Twitter today to thank everyone for the support following last night’s big win at WrestleMania Backlash.
As noted, Rey and Dominik Mysterio made history by becoming the first father & son tag team to win the titles, by defeating Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Rey posted a message for fans this morning and include a side-by-side photo with Dominik.
“Would love to thank everyone for the love & support for last night. I’ve been blessed with my career from day 1 in 1989, and now to be able to live such a memorable moment like this one creating history with my son. [blue heart emoji] you all! #NewTagTeamChamps #GodIsGood [folded hands emoji],” Rey wrote.
In what was a highly-anticipated episode of SmackDown following last week s face-to-face confrontation from Cesaro and Roman Reigns, the Blue Brand delivered to round off a decent week of WWE TV.
Tempers flare between Cesaro and Roman Reigns, a Intercontinental Title match occurred and Daniel Bryan has a huge opportunity next week.

Cesaro & Daniel Bryan def. Jey Uso & Seth Rollins
After the quartet of blue brand Superstars engaged in a war of words to open SmackDown, Cesaro & Daniel Bryan teamed up to fight off the bad intentions of Jey Uso & Seth Rollins in an epic encounter. Uso & Rollins teamed up for a crushing Buckle Bomb and Splash that nearly won the match, but when the going got tough, The SmackDown Savior headed for the hills. Bryan followed up with a Running Knee for the win, and Cesaro added a spin of Uso for good measure, as the victorious tandem mocked Roman Reigns with his cousin as bait.
