Man charged after recording device found in bathroom     CARTHAGE, TN (WSMV) The sheriff’s department confirmed a man was arrested for putting a recording device in a bathroom at a cheerleading gym in Smith County and could be connected to a similar incident. Andrew Halford was unlawful photographing and criminal attempt on Thursday. The arrest of Halford comes after the Smith County Sheriff’s office said a recording device at Smith County Elite Cheerleading and Gymnastics. The sheriff’s department said Halford was an instructor at Smith County Elite Cheerleading and Gymnastics as well as Premier Athletics in Franklin. A camera was found inside a girls’ changing and restroom at Premier Athletics. It contained videos of 60 females, mostly minors. Franklin Police detectives believe the suspect had been intermittently staging the camera to capture video in the restroom since September.

When the Smith County grand jury met in the 114th Judicial Courtroom on Dec. 17, 2020, its members indicted Delbert Simpson Jr. for exploitation of a child/elderly person/disabled individual, burglary of a habitation, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Corbin Stiefer, 21, had been missing since Jan. 6. His red Mazda was found near a wooded area off a county road near Loop 49 in Tyler Tuesday night. KETK-TV reported the Tyler Police Department and the Smith County Sheriff’s Office brought out dogs Tuesday night to help with the search but were not able to locate Stiefer until the next morning. Man goes over 140 mph in stolen car on Interstate 81 trying to escape authorities, says Sheriff’s Office Chase happened early Wednesday morning in Smyth County Published:  Tags:  WSLS (WSLS) SMYTH COUNTY, Va. – A man is in a Southwest Virginia jail after leading police on a high-speed chase, according to the Smyth County Sheriff’s Office. At about 12:35 a.m. on Wednesday, a Smyth County deputy monitoring southbound traffic on Interstate 81 clocked a vehicle going 103 mph. When the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle it continued driving, eventually exceeding 140 miles per hour, according to the Sheriff’s Office. After the suspect twice hit deployed spike strips, he was stopped and arrested.

Police Need Help Finding Missing Tyler Man; Car Found Near Wooded Area

Stiefer was last seen at 10 a.m. last Wednesday in Tyler. His family says he is very ill. Stiefer is 5’9” and 100 pounds. He has short brown hair and a patchy beard. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue Wrangler jeans. The Texas Department of Public Safety activated a CLEAR alert for Stiefer. The state s Coordinated Law Enforcement Adult Rescue (CLEAR) Alert program, created by 2019 Texas legislation, is designed to locate individuals who are in imminent danger or whose disappearance is involuntary. The program closes the gap between Amber Alerts issued for missing children and Silver Alerts issued for senior citizens.
