Boeing Contributes $1.1 Million for Asian American and Pacific Islander Support Organizations Across U.S
Today, in observance of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month in the United States, Boeing [NYSE: BA] announced the company is donating $1.1 million to organizations working to combat anti-Asian hate and promote justice, advance appreciation for AAPI history and culture, and fund community service projects and leadership development programs in communities across the United States.

To explore the role of Asian food in America––and its future, Smithsonian Associates is collaborating with the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center and the Freer Gallery of Art & Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art, to present Culinasia, a four-part series that will see chefs, food writers, food entrepreneurs, home cooks and cookbook authors, among others, discuss a variety of topics relating to Asian food in America, past, present and future.

The rich cultural heritage of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) dates back thousands of years. Both groups have shaped the history of the United States and have had their lives dramatically influenced by moments in its history.
Asian Americans include U.S. citizens whose origins are from China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Mongolia, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Bhutan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders from Samoa, Fiji, Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. According to the Pew Research Center, Asian Americans were the fastest-growing population in the U.S. between 2000 and 2019.
