PHILIPSBURG: - On Monday, March 15, 2021, Governor Holiday paid a working visit to the vaccine center at the White and Yellow Cross and to the vaccine center of the Sint Maarten Medical Center. Both locations started administering the second dose of vaccines to persons today.
The White and Yellow Cross and the Sint Maarten Medical Center are two of the four vaccine locations which the government commissioned since February 22, 2021, to provide vaccine to our population. The Sint Maarten Medical Center administers vaccines to staff members of the hospital, of Sint Maarten Laboratory Services, of the Cay Hill Pharmacy, of the Ambulance Service, and of the Firefighters. The White and Yellow Cross vaccination location s main focus is to provide vaccines to residents of the center, other persons over 60 years, and the staff of the center. PHILIPSBURG: - On January 20, 2021, the Philipsburg Jubilee Library opened the doors of its first satellite for public use at in Cay Hill and surrounding neighborhoods. A Satellite Library is a decentralized location of the main library, to improve accessibility and visibility in the community and to promote, stimulate, and encourage reading.
The PJL Cay Hill Satellite is located at the premises of the Hillside Christian School – Asha Stevens Campus and is open for the general public from Monday to Friday 2.30 p.m. – 5 p.m. The satellite offers about 3,500 books and another 4,500 books that can be ordered from the main location.

PHILIPSBURG (DCOMM): - Everyone who received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine three weeks ago at the White & Yellow Cross Care Foundation (WYCCF) and the Sint Maarten Medical Center (SMMC), is scheduled to receive their second dose this week or next week.
Three weeks ago, when the vaccination campaign started on Sint Maarten, the WYCCF and SMMC administered their staff and clients with their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. After that, the WYCCF continued for another week with the first registered persons 60 years or older. This group will receive their second dose this week or next week. If you were in this group, your next appointment at the WYCCF or SMMC will be at the exact same time and date as it was three weeks ago.
