Darren Till vs Marvin Vettori expected to headline UFC Fight Night event on April 10

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has assembled an important middleweight match up for the upcoming “Fight Night” event on April 10, which as of this writing does not have a city or venue attached but is expected to take place in either Las Vegas or Abu Dhabi.
Darren Till vs. Marvin Vettori, according to ESPN.
Till (18-3-1) abandoned his post at 170 pounds after a series of difficult weight cuts and was expected to become a major player in the middleweight division. After squeaking by Kelvin Gastelum with a split decision at UFC 244, “The Gorilla” went down on points against former champion Robert Whittaker at UFC Fight Island 3.

Former featherweight champion Max Holloway and rising contender Calvin Kattar will meet on Saturday in the UFC’s first main event of the year as the promotion makes its return to Fight Island to kick off the 2021 campaign.
Joaquin Buckley, 26, had a busy 2020. In July he TKO’d Jackie Gosh at LFA 87. His UFC debut in August ended with a TKO loss late in Round 3 to Kevin Holland. However, he bounced back big, winning back to back performance bonuses in October and November, beating Impa Kasanganay and Jordan Wright. The Kasanganay win was a KO of the Year contender.
“New Mansa” fights Alessio Di Chirico at UFC on ABC 1, on January 16 on Fight Island, Abu Dhabi. At the event media day on Wednesday, Buckley vowed to keep the hits coming, against a fighter who has never been knocked out.

The Leesburg Town Council is set to join other local elected bodies and community organizations in formally condemning last week’s attack on the U.S. Capitol.
Councilman Neil Steinberg has proposed a resolution condemning the deadly Jan. 6 riot. The resolution claims the events that day were “part of a larger effort to overturn the results of an objectively free and fair election.”
The resolution goes on to call for the resignation of all elected officials who participated in the events that day, and specifically singles out Del. David LaRock (R-33).
